SEActivists Join Public at Rallies to Voice Opposition to TPP and Keystone Pipeline

At two recent public events, SEActivists joined and supported public demonstrations against the proposed Trans Pacific Partnership Trade Agreement that would restrict the ability of governments to impose labor and environmental restrictions and against the possibility of federal approval of the Keystone XL Pipeline that would transport Alberta tar sands oil down to US refineries for export to other countries.

The TPP Rally was sponsored by the Blue-Green Alliance of labor and environmental groups and held at Seattle’s Westlake Mall on Friday, January 31, 2014 at noon and attended by Connie, Linda, Mary M, and Dan, among many others.

The local event held as part of the nationwide vigil against the approval of the Keystone XL Pipeline was Monday, February 3rd at 6:00 pm in front of the Federal Building in downtown Seattle.  SEActivists seen at the event included Isa, Linda, Mary M, Mike D, Weldon, and others.
