Coal and oil: A mix to fuel NW fears

From Crosscut:  The Obama administration’s position is a mystery for those worried about Washington state becoming an energy pipeline to Asia.   A great article for a summary of where the Northwest stands in the cross hairs of oil and coal export efforts.  Here’s an excerpt:

Sparks will fly as the Pacific Northwest wakes up to the fact that Big Oil has joined Big Coal to become Big Energy with the addition of trains carrying Bakken crude oil from North Dakota to ports in Washington and Oregon. A few are already running and more are proposed.

Worth reading the full article to be informed on these two fossil fuel initiatives that should be prevented if the green house gas emissions they represent are to be kept in the ground and severe climate disruption delayed.
