Environmental Debt – A new economic voice worth listening to

Amy Larkin, environmental activist and entrepreneur, has exposed the link between the economic crisis and the financial crisis in a new book, Environmental Debt: the Hidden Costs of a Changing Global Economy.   This may have the answers to all those who say that we can’t deal with environmental problems because it might impact the economy.

In her YouTube lecture, she states that “Every financial transaction has an environmental impact, and the environment is imbedded in every financial transaction.  The financial and environmental crises are connected both in causes and solutions.”  She goes on to give devastating examples.

Read/listen and let us know what you think!   Anyone interested in discussing this further?
