Take Action Now on Coal Trains and Ports in Northwest

The Power Past Coal collation is looking for help to ensure the upcoming scoping hearing in Seattle at North Seattle Community College (Nov 13th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm) is as effective as possible in showing the size and nature of community concerns over the proposed coal exports through Cherry Point and other Northwest ports.  There are a variety of ways to help, starting Saturday with canvassing and Tuesday with a tele-townhall.  The list of dates and events follows below.    For any of these phone or email Robin [206 378-0114 x308 –  robin.everett@sierraclub.org ]

Tele-TownHall:  This Tuesday, October 9th, at the Washington Environmental Council offices in downtown Seattle.    People are needed to man the phones to help screen questions before sending them on to the moderator and should arrive by 5 pm and the teletown hall starts at 6:30 and ends at 7:30.   Call Robin Everett, if interested.  [Contact information follows at bottom.]
