Seattle Council Hearings in re Coal Trains Resolution

Seattle City Council will hold two hearings in May regarding a proposed Resolution in opposition to Coal Trains coming through Seattle to supply a  proposed port at Cherry Point in Whatcom County.   This is an opportunity for SEA members to help by attending and/or speaking in support of the resolution.

The Energy and Environment Committee will meet on Tuesday, May 22, at 2 PM in the Council Chambers.

The City Council Hearing will be on Tuesday, May 29th, also at 2:00 pm in the Council Chambers.

This is an opportunity for anyone who opposes the export of coal to China through the Pacific Northwest to express their position!
