TAR SANDS ACTION: March 7th Downtown Seattle, 7-8PM

Sierra Club sponsored Candlelight Vigils for a Responsible Canada, Nationwide and Seattle

In order to produce the world’s dirtiest oil, tar sands mining in Canada is destroying the Boreal Forest, the largest remaining intact ecosystem in the world. Communities and wildlife downstream are suffering from increased poison and cancer rates. We have to draw the line at tar sands.

That’s why this Wednesday, March 7th, people around the world will attend candlelight vigils at Canadian embassies to take a stand against this destruction, including Seattle.
